On 28 April 2016, Junior school pupils at Parkhall Integrated College worked in mixed ability and age groups to discuss their personal values and those of the school.
Considering these values, the groups wrote joint vision statements for the school which they also designed in poster form. It gave the pupils a chance for independent thinking, creativity and to work well together. The posters were displayed at the front of the school reflecting the very positive and forward thinking attitudes of the students at Parkhall IC. These will be used to provide ideas for our future vision statement.
The Board of Governors and staff have also been working on vision and values recently in order to plan positively for the future of our school as we embark on the exciting road ahead and move into our new building in September 2017.
Some of our vision statements
To make everyone love coming to school and to be safe and respectful to everyone
To be the best integrated school in N. Ireland
To give the most possible equal education and to make everyone feel valued
To bring all communities together and to inspire everyone
To bring Catholics and Protestants together for a good future
To be the best school with people who don’t care what religion people are
