Another Year of Outstanding Results at Priory Integrated College
There was much to celebrate at Priory IC, Holywood on Thursday, as this year’s A Level results were published. 100% of those students who sat 3 A Levels achieved all three qualifications at the top grades of A*-C. 96% of the students in the year group achieved at least two A Level qualifications at the top grades of A*-C, an outstanding achievement which will undoubtedly open the doors to future success in Higher Education and into employment.
“Once again, the students here in Priory have excelled themselves,” said the Principal Jacqui Magennis. “Their hard work and the outstanding support they have received from their teachers, parents and carers, have paid off handsomely. These results continue the tradition of high standards and attainment in our Sixth Form here in Priory, which we are immensely proud of. They compare very favourably with other local schools, all the more so when you consider that this is a non-selective, integrated college that welcomes children of all abilities. It just goes to show what young people can achieve when their talents are recognised and nurtured, when they are encouraged to believe in themselves and they enjoy the benefits of having excellent teachers.”
Amongst the many happy students at Priory who achieved outstanding results are Grant Mulholland (A*, A*, B) who is progressing to University of Ulster Jordanstown to study Business Information, Tanya Griffin (A*, A, B) will be going to Queens University to study Business information Technology, Rebecca Colwell (B, B, B) will be going to Liverpool University to study Law, Mukami Ndungu (A*, A*, B) who is going on to South Eastern Regional College to study a degree in ICT, and Jannah Gray (A*, A, B) who has secured a place at Belfast Metropolitan College to study for a degree in Leadership and Management. Well done to all!
