Congratulations to ‘Nitty Gritty’ Integrated Drama group members Ciara McGrath and Johnathan Moorhead, on receiving a place in the International Performing Company as part of the ‘The Tin Forest’, presented by National Theatre Scotland in association with Scottish Youth Theatre. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity.

The International Performing Company is part of ‘The Tin Forest’ presented by National Theatre of Scotland in association with Scottish Youth Theatre.

Participants will be involved in 1 of 5 devising groups. These groups will work with professional directors, creative specialists, composers, designers, choreographers and technicians to create interactive installations and site-responsive street theatre. Each group will have its own hub space, at an important Glasgow location. These hubs will come alive with street theatre performed by the host group and a visiting group. When visiting another hub, the groups will travel the city and engage with the public and energy of the Commonwealth Games.

The International Performing Company will be involved in other exciting events attached to the Commonwealth Games.

The Nitty Gritty Theatre Company, under the direction of Andrea Grimason, have produced a number of dramas in conjunction with NICIE.
