The Bin It! Roadshow visits Year 8 students

On Friday 25th November, Year 8 students were visited by the award winning Bin It! Roadshow. All of our Year 8 students were given the opportunity to attend the event in the hall, during lesson 5 on Friday afternoon.

The show was taken by ‘Doc’ and ‘Tyler’ who guided Year 8 through a series of experiments about litter and why people litter. They found out that most littering is caused by people following other people’s example. Therefore by setting a good example and using a bin more people will follow suit.

Year 8 also found out about gum litter, how dangerous it can be to wildlife and how it can damage the environment.
