Teaching And Learning Schools (NI) Conference – Friday 12 June 2015

Teaching & learning Schools

June 2015

Dear Colleague

You are invited to come along to an information session about Teaching and Learning Schools (NI) in the Conference Hall, Main Building, Stranmillis University College, Belfast on Friday 12th June 2015 at 12.30pm.

Teaching and Learning Schools (TLS) is a project based on a model of teacher development that has been very successful as part of the London Challenge (OLEVI) and has been contextualised for Northern Ireland.  Participating schools have evidence that pupil results improve faster and in a more sustained way than any other region of England or Wales.

TLS programmes provide opportunities for schools from similar and differing sectors to cluster to support each other to improve the educational outcomes of all pupils by engaging schools and teachers in building pedagogic skills and classroom practice that develops a culture of reflection, research in action and focus on pupil achievement.

During the afternoon you will hear from Principals, facilitators and teachers who have participated in the programme in 2014/15. If you are interested in attending this information session, please email wsavage715@c2kni.net to reserve a place.

Mrs Savage will also be pleased to direct any other queries to the relevant person should you wish to discuss this further prior to attendance at the information session.

Yours sincerely
