I was fascinated to see a recent RTÉ programme about an new Educate Together Secondary School. It was inspirational to see the work being done to give responsibility and democratic participation to students – in addition to the normal curriculum. Congratulations to the students and staff.
I was particularly interested in the programme because my wife Anne and I have been heavily involved in opening and running an integrated primary school and college in Derry (Northern Ireland). So we keep a friendly eye on the work and progress of Educate Together. And we fully understand the process you are going through at Hansfield.
Warmest regards from the 22,000 students in our 64 integrated schools in Northern Ireland. You have our admiration and encouragement in the really important work that you are doing.

President
Northern Ireland Council for Integrated Education.
