A Level Results Celebration At Shimna Integrated College

Shimna Integrated College students celebrated record A level results this year, with the number of students achieving 3+ A*-C a particular feature.  Principal Kevin Lambe said, “Of course those straight A* and As are a matter of great pride, and a result of our students’ talent and committed, hard work, of the teaching and support from our outstanding staff and of the ongoing love and support from parents.  However, real success is measured in the performance of all our students achieving their dream and securing their first choice place at university and college.  The very special thing is that all of this has been achieved in an Integrated school community of students, staff, parents and governors.   On Monday, across the Atlantic, a Shimna Old Scholar began his first week at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.  When we are reminded of the terrible damage division continues to cause across the world, we recognise the enduring value and significance of Integrated Education, of living and learning together, and achieving our excellent academic results together.”
