Building Resilience at New-Bridge IC

Throughout the month of April, Year 11 pupils at New-Bridge Integrated College have been working on developing their resilience, as part of a whole school focus.  The pupils participated in a series of workshops led by our College ‘Gimme 5’ team, focusing on the 5 essential elements of well-being – Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Learn, Give.

They also participated in a workshop on Friday 4 May led by Joanne Callan from ‘Try the Alternative’, and a promoting positive mental health workshop delivered by Alan Kingsmill from MensSana.

Our ‘Gimme 5’ team have marked out a ‘Walk a Mile’ route around the College which will be used by pupils and staff as part of our ‘Be Active’ element of well-being, and within out KS3 Personal Development Programme.
