Congratulations to sixth form students who took part in the Gold practice expedition on the Mourne Mountains during April 2016. The group spent a weekend in the mountains camping and cooking for themselves.

During the weekend the group climbed over Hare’s Gap, and over Lough Shannagh. The group practiced their map work skills, compass skills, and bonded as a team ahead of their exam expedition in June.

Unfortunately the weather was not kind with the group braving snow, fog, rain and on the final day a small amount of sunshine! Well done to you all for your hard work!
