Holocaust Memorial Day 2015

Reflect, Respect and Remember

On Tuesday 27th January 2015 the Belfast Synagogue, in Partnership with Hazelwood College, Lagan College, NICIE and the Nitty Gritty Theatre Company, will host an Integrated Education event to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day.

It has been 70 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and in 2015 we will also be commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Genocide in Srebrenica, Bosnia. During this Holocaust Memorial Day event, students from Hazelwood College and the Nitty Gritty Theatre (made up from students of Lagan College) will use drama, music, readings and reflections to invite those present to: Keep the memory alive.

We are delighted that Nicola Mallon, Lord Mayor of Belfast will be present to hand out certificates to the students involved.
