Blackwater Integrated College is delighted to report that Year 12 students have achieved the college’s highest ever GCSE results.
We are proud to record that 82% of students achieved grades A*-C in five or more subjects and 55% achieved these grades in 5 or more subjects including English and Maths, both of these being above the Northern Ireland average for similar schools. In a number of subjects, 100% of students taking them were awarded Grade C or better, for example, Contemporary Crafts, Technology and Design and BTEC Sports.
Notably, Hannah Cassidy, Niall Donaldson, Laura Struthers, Toni Walker, Bradford McClurg, Cara Martin and Amy Curran attained good passes in eight or more subjects.
As an all-ability non-selective school, we are delighted with the performance of our pupils and congratulate them on their success.
The College is also celebrating the successes of Vocational Programme students whose outcomes in a range of GCSE and other courses have equipped them for further studies and employment.
These results are the culmination of the hard work and dedication of students and teachers alike and we also thank parents for their support, recognising the importance of working together to achieve the best for all our students.
We wish all the students well in their future studies and careers.
