The Northern Ireland Council for Integrated Education (NICIE) currently has three vacancies for Development Officer (Fixed Term Contract for 2.5 years)
This is a unique opportunity for individuals with a background in education, community relations, youth work or community development to join our team. NICIE is a Non-Departmental Public Body grant funded by the Department of Education to promote the development of Integrated Education. Due to additional funding and increased demand for Integrated Education we have 3 new fixed term posts for professionals currently working within any of these fields to try something new. Reporting to a Senior Development Officer, these roles provide advice and assistance in dealing with general enquiries relating to Integrated Education. The work is wide ranging including providing support to existing Integrated schools as well as opportunities to undertake new projects to work towards the growth and expansion of Integrated Education. The roles provide a variety of openings to become involved in research, area planning of the school’s estate, teacher professional learning, ethos development, representation, promotional activities, report writing and evaluations for a range of audiences.
Salary: NJC Scale 25-28 (£32,020 to £34,723) April 2022
Annual Car allowance £1,239 per annum plus mileage expenses at NJC rates
NILGOSC Employers Pension Contribution (April 2023 19%)
Full Time (35 hours/week) for 2.5 years Fixed Term Contract based in Belfast
22 days leave (increases with length of service) plus statutory days.
